One of the best decisions I made while organising my wedding is getting Joyfulproject for my wedding photography.They are so professional in the discussions that need to take place before the wedding, on time and literally will skip their meals and sleep for you ( though I don't recommend that ) and the sweetest people to work with .They had so much patience with me as I was getting exhausted by the end of the function and treated all the guests with respect even when they asked for photos on stage.They captured me and my husband in both the photos and in their documentary style video in such a dreamy style that it teared everyone up ..post the wedding they adhered to the timeline of deliverables and I received all my framed photos and  albums today and I'm speechless about the quality of the album.Joy's team delivers more than 100% I cannot recommend them enough.My only regret I couldn't manage to work out pre mass schedules and get more pics early morning in bearable weather and lighting ,which he was ready to even take and proposed the idea too .He goes out of his way if you're ready to take the efforts for good pictures.. This is going to be a long one, but worth the read! As someone who wanted a very real wedding- not a picture-perfect, boujee wedding - I knew from the beginning that I wanted every moment to feel true. My priority was never to create photos that looked perfect for the gram but rather was to make sure every emotion was lived, every memory was real, and everyone around us felt it too. To capture something like that, I knew I needed someone with honest eyes. To me, great photographs — they have a soul. Having worked in the wedding industry myself, I naturally reached out to a lot of my connections. I looked through countless portfolios, but somehow none of them felt personal. Were the pictures good? Absolutely. But many of them felt like variations of the same template. Then one day, my best friend shared a reel from her friend's wedding. I didn't know the couple. I had never met them. Yet somehow, I felt their joy. I felt their love. I even found myself emotional watching complete strangers celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives. That's when I realized this wasn't just another wedding film— It was empathy. It was documentation of love. Without a second thought, I called Joy. Now, I'll be honest - I was still speaking to around 4 to 8 other photography teams at the same time. While almost every conversation revolved around selling packages and showcasing their work, my conversation with Joy felt... human. He listened. He patiently heard my thoughts, understood what I envisioned, and then explained their philosophy in one simple line: "We document moments." That instantly clicked for me. Looking back, I'm so incredibly glad it did. Even in terms of pricing, Joyful Projects stood out. While several teams quoted rates that felt far beyond industry standards, Joyful Projects was very reasonable. Considering the quality of their work and the experience they deliver, I genuinely believe they don't charge a bomb or as much as they could. Fast forward to the wedding day: Most importantly- There was NEVER a moment when the cameras felt intrusive. They gave us the space to simply exist and be♥️. They never forced us into awkward poses or cliché shots and totally respected our boundaries. They never interrupted conversations or asked us to recreate emotions we'd already experienced. Instead, they quietly observed, patiently waited, and captured moments exactly as they unfolded. ✨ On your wedding day, you're already overwhelmed - with excitement, nervousness, love, happy tears, and a hundreds of other emotions, all at once. The last thing you want is a photography team constantly in your face asking you to smile or "do that again." Joy and his team understood that. When we needed space, they gave it to us. When we were emotional, they respected it yet captured it beautifully. And somehow, despite staying in the background, they captured everything (they were everywhere, Kumbidiss). Today, revisiting the photographs genuinely feels like revisiting the day itself. The emotions still feel alive. The memories still feel fresh. Every image takes me back to exactly how I felt in that moment - thus the soul I was talking about. That's such a rare gift. A huge thank you to Joy, Ameen, Altaf, and Akhil for being the most comforting, respectful, and incredibly talented team to have around us on one of the most important days of our lives. We had the most wonderful experience with Stories from Joyfulprojects for our wedding and cannot recommend them enough! Joy and his team were incredibly professional yet made everything feel warm and personal. As a shy couple, we were nervous about posing, but they kept things natural, candid, and even went out of their way to make us laugh during the shots! Ours was a 2 states wedding, and even though Sangeet and Haldi are not traditions typically seen in Kochi, they captured every ritual beautifully. With back to back events and barely any breathing room, they were patient and flexible and never once added to the stress. The documentary style wedding highlight video is simply the most special thing and genuinely moved our family and friends too. The photo album quality is stunning and worth far more than what we paid, and the complementary additions were such a sweet touch.
